Are you a student in computer science, web development, frontend design & development, software development or similar? Do you have a high interest for or some experience with dashboard web apps and an affinity with front-end design? Are you a pragmatic thinker with strong analytical skills? Then we are looking for you!

Internship

Your assignment

This internship focuses on defining the needs, goals and requirements plus the development of a dashboard web app for the maritime industry.

Recently, prototyping started and is advancing covering basic application principles. Nevertheless, some issues still remain within the field of information processing and visualization as well as UX/UI design optimization.

The study starts with ordering, collecting and deriving all functional and non-functional requirements. Followed by analysing the most suitable way to achieve them. Last but not least, a real-life functional prototype must be developed and tested within the overall existing framework.

This internship is intended as an apprentice internship.

Your time

The preferred start is February 2025. Its duration depends on the weekly availability of the student (minimum 5-6 months fulltime equivalent).

Your profile

You have a real passion for graphical software application engineering, developing in a creative and inventive way.

Therefore, you are:

  • a student in computer science, information technology, web development, frontend design & development, media & game technology, software engineering or similar;
  • highly interested in front-end design (e.g. webdesign, visual interface design, etc.) and UX optimization, or better, have some experience with it;
  • comfortable with development environments and SCM tools like Linux, Git, GitHub;
  • having programming skills (any or some JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs) and eager to learn more;
  • effective communication in English and Dutch.

Bonus points if you are someone who:

  • has affinity with cloud services such as GCP, AWS, Azure;
  • has practical experience with UX design optimization;
  • knowledge of handling time-stream databases.

Your return

Deltrao offers a varied and challenging workplace within a technology-oriented, entrepreneurial environment. As an Intern you can definitely count on:

  • competitive remuneration, as awarded in the Spaansen Group;
  • mutual consultation with regard to weekly activity and a flexible workplace;
  • and of course, being part of an enthusiastic and fun team who are eager to teach you the tricks of trade.

Your working environment

Deltrao is a start-up with a focus on innovation, founded by the Spaansen Groep, a professor affiliated with TU Delft and an entrepreneur. Thanks to its location in Geldermalsen, the company is centrally located in the country, having good accessibility both by public transport and by own transport.

The multidisciplinary team, with young engineers, is constantly creating and realizing a high-tech solution within the context of New Product Development (NPD). Everything from a shared passion for technology and innovation.

This results in an informal atmosphere within a professional, dynamic working environment, in which communication is open and with an eye for your personal and professional development.
